Centerville Curling Club

Curling has been a family tradition in the Deeren family for decades.  Learning from his father Dan and mother Susan (Gunderson), Kevin has always been around the sport.  During his younger years, Kevin curled with his brothers until he was recruited by Ryan Quinn, who led them to a Junior National Championship final.

Locally, Kevin coordinated a "Learn to Curl" event which focused on member recruitment and educating the public about the opportunities that curling provides for youth in the area.

Brotherhood for the Fallen

The Brotherhood for the Fallen is an organization that was created by members of the Chicago Police Department which sends uniformed police officers to the funerals of murdered police officers throughout the United States and provides a monetary donation to the family.  This organization has since established chapters in NYPD, Boston, Fort Worth, Dallas, Aurora, CO, and Suffolk County, NY.

Kevin is currently in the developmental stages of founding a Wisconsin Chapter.

"The Brotherhood provides a broader sense of belonging and family for law enforcement officers.  Making contacts and friends throughout the country and hearing their stories can really change the way we think about our job."
